The National-Liberal Opposition has today reaffirmed the Alliance Agreement, during a signing ceremony held at Parliament House.
Opposition Leader and Leader of The Nationals WA Shane Love said the agreement showed a commitment from both Parties to maintain Opposition pressure following the change in leadership.
“The National-Liberal Opposition will continue to hold the McGowan Labor Government to account on the multiple crises impacting Western Australia,” Mr Love said.
“Cost-of-living is on the rise, severe worker shortages continue, a lack of housing remains, our health system is broken, and crime is spiralling out-of-control.
“In regional WA, these problems are ten-fold with limited services and resources being provided by the McGowan Labor Government, despite the Premier sitting on a huge pile of money.
Mr Love said the National-Liberal Opposition will continue to highlight the raft of failures by the Premier and his Labor Government, when Parliament begins next week.
“We will also continue to represent West Australians who deserve to have their voices heard, especially our regional communities whose representation was ripped from Parliament by McGowan’s electoral reform.”
Leader of the WA Liberals Libby Mettam said the Liberals and the Nationals have delivered together in Government, and have worked well in Opposition.
“I look forward to continuing this constructive relationship as a team and alongside Shane Love,” Ms Mettam said.
“While we are small in number, we are absolutely committed together to raising the issues that matter to the many West Australians who have been left behind by the McGowan Government.”
