It has been a great privilege to serve as Leader of the Opposition for the people of Western Australia.
I am proud of The Nationals’ strong result in the State Election and sincerely thank the people of Western Australia for trusting us to be their voice in the State Parliament.
I congratulate Basil Zempilas on his election as Leader of the WA Liberal Party, and Libby Mettam on her appointment as Deputy Leader.
With the matter of Liberal Leadership now settled, we look forward to working together to serve the best interests of all Western Australians.
I firmly believe a strong, unified approach is essential to holding the Labor Government to account and presenting a credible alternative for the people of Western Australia.
