WA Liberals and Nationals WA Shadow Cabinet

Leader of the Opposition Basil Zempilas MLA and Leader of The Nationals WA Shane Love MLA have today unveiled the Shadow Cabinet.

Mr Zempilas and Mr Love said the two parties would work as an Alliance in Opposition to hold the Labor Government to account.

“The Liberal and National Parties are united in our commitment to work collaboratively on behalf of all Western Australians to ensure better Government,” Mr Zempilas said.

“The make-up of the Shadow Cabinet demonstrates a breadth of real-world experience in many areas, including health, small business, primary industry, mining, law, advocacy and local government.

“From the city to the regions, Western Australians deserve a strong Opposition that is disciplined and rigorous and will demand integrity and transparency from the Government.”

Leader of the Nationals, Shane Love, said the Opposition’s clear focus on bringing a united team to the first day of Parliament was a sign of things to come over the next four years.

“I am proud to lead a strong team of Nationals in the Shadow Cabinet – they are experienced community leaders ready to take up the challenge of holding this
Government to account.

“Over the next four years you will see a determined Opposition focussed on achieving
better outcomes for all Western Australians.

“As a team, the Liberals and Nationals stand ready to protect the best interests of our
great State.”

Shadow Cabinet responsibilities will be assumed by Members at the commencement of
the 42nd Parliament of Western Australia on Tuesday April 8, 2025.
