Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Local Government regarding the appointment of commissioners for the City of Nedlands:
“The Opposition welcome the appointment of the three commissioners to the City of Nedlands to fulfil the role of council until March next year,” Ms Warr said.
“It’s clear the city needed a circuit breaker, and we hope it will lead to a positive result for the ratepayers in Nedlands.
“The question remains: would the Office of the Local Government Inspector and the panel of monitors be able to prevent situations like this occurring in the future?”
